HCG Shopping List

Basic List of Foods Allow and Not Permitted


Food Allowed on HCG Program:

Drinks: Any drinks without sugar, including coffee, tea, diet soda, and other zero calorie, zero sugar drinks

Sweeteners: Splenda, Equal, Stevia,

Proteins: beef, chicken (skinless), sea bass, sole, flounder, halibut, lobster, crab, shrimp, scallops, tilapia, white albacore tuna in water pack, eggs,

Fruits: lemon, apple (1-2 per day only), berries, pear, strawberries, orange, grapefruit, cantaloupe

Seasonings: lemon, garlic, thyme, parsley, plum vinegar, apple cider vinegar, sea salt, basil, pepper, balsamic vinegar

Vegetables: spinach, lecture, cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, asparagus, onions, celery,broccoli, radishes, kale, Brussels sprouts, green beans

Salad dressings:  Wishbone or Ken’s  spray dressing

Foods That Are NOT Permitted on the HCG Plan

Meat and Fish: No salmon, pork, lamb, lunch meats(ham & turkey are allowable)Carbs: No bread, starches, sugar, rice, pasta, potatoes

Fruits: No Banana, pineapple, grapes,  watermelon,

Vegetables: No carrots,  corn, peas

Drinks: No juices, regular sodas,

Other: no dairy,  no regular cheese, milk

A new year Revival!!

Alot has happened since my last post... I've lost lbs, and gained some. Right now, I am 222lbs! 

January, 20th, 2012, was my last day of smoking - It's been a full year, and I can foresee myself as a forever "non-smoker"! Everyday... I still choose!

So, this year, 2013, is my year to lose the weight I have packed on. And again, I will be doing the HCG to help the process! In the past year, I have gained about 35lbs... My first goal is to send those pounds packing!!!

#6 On VLCD

Well, no pictures of my meals today. I had to work late - till 7:40pm, and was WAY too hungry to take the time to take a picture. I ate it as it was ready!!!

I had some chicken and celery. I ate my orange around 1pm, while chatting with my boss at lunch.

I did much better on my water intake though today. Drank a good 6-20oz bottles. And several cups of coffee. I should be good. 

I was such a good girl... I took my residents to a "Waffle Feed" at the senior center tonight. Gawd those waffles looked good! Everyone was telling me I should eat! Of course, I wasn't gonna tell them... "no.. I'm on a diet". So I told them I had arrangements for dinner later that I had to keep. ;-)

I am pooped, and a nice glass of wine sounds wonderful!
Damn. It's no fun being good! lol

I'm really wanting to see myself under 200lbs by the end of the week. I think I can do it! 

#6 On VLCD Weight No gain/loss

(Update below)
Well, was a little disappointed this morning when I weighed. 
Looks like I gained 1.5lbs. 
However, after reading some other peoples experiences, I'm right on track, and should expect no loss days and a few gain days due to what you eat and drink.
However, looking over what I ate, I don't think that would have done it. HOWEVER, what I DRANK or didn't drink could have!

I know I didn't drink as much water as I have been... At work I forget to drink, unless I'm at the lunch table, and then the only thing I drink is coffee! Old habits are hard to break!
Today I drive the bus - taking residents to their doctors appointments and shopping trips.  By hell, I'm gonna drink more water, even if I have to pee at Wal-mart!

Good lesson... 

One thing I have noticed... More energy! :)

So, after I "went" and showered this morning, I weighed again. No gain, no loss... still 204.5. I'm fine with that! :) However... You bet I'm gonna be drinking MORE WATER!
